I was here (Elva Lodge Hotel, Maidenhead, England)
by David MacOsmin
Everything that's here
became to me dear
as I've seen friendly faces
and smiles that give embraces
Though the weather ain't at it's greatest
People's warmth seems to be at it's best.
My knees got sometimes cold
But I enjoyed whatever's in the breakfast hot
Spirits of people seem to be jolly
but the names of their churches not so holy
that may just be because
English is not from languages my first
Though, as a book I've studied from, says,
it is from time to time "my love"
whenever most lovely feelings come
from movies speeking this tongue
with appreciation, Cosmin :)
